Stay A While
Victoria Airport Authority has confirmed the approval of a proposal to construct a 129-room hotel on 3.5 acres of commercial zoned land at the Victoria International Airport, at the corner of Highway 17 and Beacon Avenue West.

Intended as the Victoria region’s first extended-stay hotel, the development will also include a full-service restaurant. Activity will begin onsite in early fall to prepare for the start of construction, which is expected to be completed by late spring of 2025.

Happily Ever After
September 8, 2023 saw the end of a wonderful and amazing 10 years. Kenny Podmore conducted his last wedding as a BC Vital Statistics Marriage Commissioner.

Kenny says: “I have been honoured to have conducted wedding ceremonies for so many beautiful couples and equally have attended many stunning venues. To bring two people together in marriage is and always will be an unforgettable experience. Sadly I am only able to hold the position for 10 years.” He thanks everyone for their support over the years.
