Numerology for Business

Words Kirsten Foss, Soul CFO, Numerology, Bookkeeping & Business Strategy

You’re doing everything right. Up early answering emails, putting in the hours (plus some), showing up on socials, being responsible with finances. And yet, as an entrepreneur, you’ve likely spent a few seasons feeling like you’re swimming against the current. Most entrepreneurs chalk it up to luck, but there’s an unseen pattern operating underneath it all. And here’s what most business owners don’t know: you’re standing in one specific spot of a nine-year cycle right now.

How It Works
Numerology studies the energetic codes of the numbers one to nine, each carrying its own characteristics – both positive and negative. In business, we can use this information to map time in a nine-year cycle. To find out where you are in this cycle exactly is a simple equation called your Personal Year: separate the digits of the month and day of your birthday plus the current year (2026) and add them up. Reduce double digits to a single digit. For example, if your birth month and day are January 19, your equation for your Personal Year in 2026 is 0+1+1+9+2+0+2+6 = 21 | 2+1=3. You would be in a Personal Year 3.

Your Nine Seasons
What energy does each Personal Year hold for you?

Year 1 – The Start: New beginnings, planting a seed. This is a year for fresh starts and new directions: a career pivot; a new offer; a bold step. Back yourself and start.

Year 2 – The Slow Build: Partnership, connection. Nurture your new beginning with collaboration and balance.

Year 3 – The Bloom: Self-expression and creativity. You’re magnetic right now – visibility pays off and people are ready to find you.

Year 4 – The Foundation: Structure and stability. Follow the steps; don’t skip them. Build systems to hold everything together.

Year 5 – The Pivot: Change, freedom. Expect the unexpected for the purpose of showing the gaps in your goal and energetic alignment. Stay flexible.

Year 6 – The Steward: Responsibility, boundaries. Own what’s yours; release what isn’t and hold your line. Say no to protect your yes.

Year 7 – The Believer: Going inwards, refining. Get quiet, listen and trust what you feel and know, but cannot yet see. A year to sharpen, not launch.

Year 8 – The Harvest: Your power year. Think big, raise your prices and step into your brilliance. Own it.

Year 9 – The Pause: Release, rest. The end of the cycle brings higher awareness and reflection. Tie up loose ends for what’s coming next.

The Practical Payoff
What can you do with your Personal Year number in business? The point is more about permission than it is prediction. When you align your effort with your energy, it simply goes further. A failed launch in a Year 7 could soar in a Year 8. Or like one of my clients, who stopped feeling like a failure in a limited government role when she discovered she was in a personal Year 8 – the perfect year to push forward on a pay increase or apply for higher level positions. In business numerology, knowing your Personal Year is less about guesswork and more about strategic timing.
So before you push forward on another year, it might be worth asking a quieter question: which energy is my Personal Year supporting best? Because each number from one to nine is an energetic code that has something to say about how you should work. Find your year and start there!
