The world’s first full-motion seaplane flight simulator has been unveiled at the Victoria Flying Club! This is the first training device of its kind, and it will expand the Flying Club‘s already successful Seaplane training program, offered at Victoria Airport’s Seaplane Base in Patricia Bay. More good news in the local aviation industry is that Pacific Sky Aviation and Viking Air have turned the dirt at the construction site of their joint venture, a new 10,000 sq ft flight-training centre next to Viking headquarters in North Saanich. Set to be ready for students in the fall of 2016, it will be the world’s first Twin Otter training centre that offers a flight simulator to train pilots to take off and land on water. Good luck!!

Exciting news for Sidney Waterfront. Grant Rogers’ Marker Group has purchased Victoria Spirits and will be bringing the Victoria Spirits Distillery to Seaport Place.
