TOURISM
Tourists and Tenants Sharing Space
The Visitor’s Centre on Beacon is expanding, from the inside out. The Town of Sidney, the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the Sidney Business Improvement Association have agreed upon joint use of the building, bringing together two of the community’s key business development organizations and providing an office for the SBIA’s new Executive Director, Donna Petrie. The Beacon location is now the only operating Tourism Information Centre for the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, having closed the Pat Bay Highway Visitor Information Centre after 31 years of operation.
