Homeowners Meet Trusted Trades
Jacks Victoria is a newly launched local home services marketplace connecting homeowners with skilled, insured tradespeople across the region. The platform was created to solve a common challenge in which homeowners were struggling to find reliable, available help for everyday household jobs, while local trades workers often look for flexible extra work outside of regular hours.

Through the platform, homeowners can post a job they require to be done along with photos and descriptions. Verified independent contractors (known as “Jacks”) can then browse available jobs, submit offers and apply directly. Homeowners choose the tradesperson that best fits their needs based on ratings, reviews and proposals.
All “Jacks” are required to carry insurance, operate as independent contractors and keep 100% of their earnings. The platform aims to streamline access to trusted home services while supporting local trades professionals. www.jacksvictoria.ca

RCMP Shares Tip to Help Trace Harassing Calls
The Sidney/North Saanich RCMP is encouraging local businesses to use the *Call Trace (57) feature if they receive harassing, threatening or nuisance phone calls. After receiving an unwanted call, simply hang up and dial *57 immediately. Your phone service provider will record details of the call, which can assist law enforcement with investigations– even if the caller has blocked their number.
